The XL Social Enterprise Accreditation Programme is part of the Billion Dollar Challenge, a global initiative which tracks the annual earnings and contributions of Social Enterprises towards World Wide Wealth. The SEA target is towards collective earnings of US$1 Billion with US$100 Million going to non-profits each year by 2020.
Annual Targets to reach 2020 Vision
We have set annual targets for the number of participating enterprises, the pledges received and the donations made each year. This grows from: 100 enterprises, $200,000 in donations and US$2 Million in pledges in 2006; to 5,000 enterprises, US$18 Million in donations and US$180 Million in pledges in 2015; to 25,000 enterprises, US$100 Million in donations and US$1 Billion in pledges by 2020. Below are the targets that we set at the time of the programme launch, year-by-year leading up to 2020.

New initiatives will be continually added to achieve annual targets. The aim is to exceed targets each year. By 2015, with ten years of progress on record, new growth targets for the future of the programme and World Wide Wealth through to 2050 will be set.

By August 2008, 450 companies had joined the programme, with actual donations of US$1.2 Million and pledges of over US$72 Million.
